Introduction
Biblical Counseling Association is a not-for-profit ministry and has provided biblical counseling for fifteen years without ever making any charges to counselees. In addition, BCA has made counseling
articles available for publication by other ministries, and more than five million copies have been printed and distributed.
This Internet ministry is an expansion of the not-for-profit ministry of Biblical Counseling Association
for the purpose of providing free counseling materials.
Please visit often as we expand our offerings. We will endeavor to make your visits pleasant, and to show you that we recognize that your time is valuable, by limiting graphics and the resultant downloading time.
Biblical Counseling or Christian Counseling?
These two names for counseling are used somewhat interchangeably. Therefore, it seems appropriate to explain how we understand them. We understand "biblical counseling" as referring to counseling in which biblical principles are used exclusively. Some counselors, for whom we have high regard, call this kind of counseling by the broader term, "Christian counseling." For a more detailed discussion, see "Biblical Counseling: Powerful and Effective."
Goals
Our goals are to: (1) help Christians overcome personal and interpersonal problems; (2) help heal and strengthen marriages; (3) help parents be successful in their child rearing efforts; (4) supply materials for discipleship training; and (5) supply materials for pastors, counselors, missionaries and other Christians who counsel.
Most importantly, our primary goal is to bring glory to God as we minister His Word.
Gentleness and Patience
The Scriptures teach that, as servants of God, we should not strive, but be gentle and patient when we
teach (2 Tim. 2:24). These things we will endeavor to do. But whenever we fail, be patient with us, forbearing and forgiving, even as the Lord has forgiven you (Col. 3:13).
Copyrights
BCA has obtained permission and specified requirements for use of materials from the copyright owners. When the original publication has not included a copyright notice, permission for use has been obtained from the author or editor of the publication.

Downloading and Reformatting
For your convenience, most articles on this Web site are presented in two different programming languages--one (HTML) for ease of reading as you browse, and the other (ASCII) for ease of reformatting articles that you download. In addition, special codes have been added to the ASCII articles to make them even easier to reformat. See Reformatting Hints.
Selection and Use of Materials
Wendell E. Miller, Executive Director of Biblical Counseling Association, has the sole responsibility for
selection of materials and obtaining permission for their use.
While every reasonable effort is made to present material that is both true to the Scriptures and all alleged facts, neither Miller nor any other person connected with BCA or this Web site can assume responsibility for statements made by authors in their articles or books.
BCA appreciates the generosity of authors and organizations for allowing use of their materials. However, use of their materials in this Internet ministry is not necessarily an endorsement of a writer's entire writings or of any organization.
Financial Support
Biblical Counseling Association is dependent upon those who share their Christian giving to support this on-line ministry.
Finally, Brethren, Pray for Us
Our goal and desire is to minister to the Christian community through the Internet. Your prayers can be of great help in accomplishing this goal.
